Musk Named Time Person of the Year... "No One More Influential in Space"
[Asia Economy New York=Correspondent Baek Jong-min] The person chosen as Time magazine's Person of the Year for 2021 was Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla.
On the 13th (local time), Time announced Musk as Person of the Year, stating, "Person of the Year is an indicator of influence, and there are very few people more influential than Musk, both on Earth and beyond."
Time also said, "Musk became the world's richest person in 2021 and was the richest example showing the massive changes in our society."
Time explained Musk's influence as follows: "He launches satellites into Earth's orbit and generates power using solar energy. He drives cars that do not use gasoline he created and require almost no driver. With just a snap of his fingers, the stock market soars or plummets."
Time's explanation acknowledged that Musk exerts the most powerful influence on Earth and outer space not only through Tesla electric vehicles but also through the space exploration company SpaceX. It also confirmed that his influence is changing traditional ways of life and having a huge impact on financial markets.
