Yeonggwang Volunteer Fire Brigade Donates 'Love Supplies' to Yeonggwang County
[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jeonseong] Jeonnam Yeonggwang Volunteer Fire Brigade (President of the Federation Lee Jongdu, No Yeongsuk) recently announced on the 13th that they donated ramen worth 1.5 million won to Yeonggwang County by gathering the hearts of members at the forefront of safety and delivered love items through the sharing refrigerator.
The Yeonggwang Volunteer Fire Brigade currently has 516 active members who play roles such as supplying high-pressure fire hoses for fire suppression to firefighters at urgent fire scenes, managing traffic for smooth fire truck access, and quickly relaying on-site situations.
They also maintain organic communication with the fire station when dangers are discovered in daily life to secure the scene for immediate action and perform initial measures to prevent the spread of danger.
President Lee Jongdu said, “The Yeonggwang Volunteer Fire Brigade has set up an office and training center on the 4th floor of the fire center, conducting regular training at least once a month with members from each town and township and carrying out fire safety campaigns. We are fully prepared to assist fire duties without gaps during disasters, centered on the captains of each town and township.”
A county official said, “We are always grateful to the Yeonggwang Volunteer Fire Brigade federation members who serve as a strong support for firefighters who rush first to crisis situations and lead COVID-19 prevention efforts in each town and township to help create a safe Yeonggwang. We ask that you continue to devote yourselves to firefighting activities and infectious disease prevention and quarantine.”
