Polaris Office Partners with Gyeongnam Office of Education to Accelerate Entry into Domestic Edutech Market
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Polaris Office, a specialist company in office software, is accelerating its entry into the edutech market by officially supplying the ‘Polaris Office Edu’ product to elementary, middle, and high schools located in Gyeongsangnam-do.
On the 13th, Polaris Office announced that it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Creative Talent Division of the Gyeongsangnam-do Office of Education to promote the digital transformation of public education in the Gyeongnam region.
Through this MOU, Polaris Office and the Creative Talent Division of the Gyeongnam Office of Education plan to focus on creating a future environment and digital transformation using the Gyeongnam Office of Education’s future education support platform ‘iTalkTalk’. They will establish a cooperative system for developing web office and educational support functions for schools located in Gyeongnam.
Polaris Office will support the development of customized integration functions to enhance the usability of the web office in school settings within the ‘iTalkTalk’ platform. Additionally, to implement user environment customization features, they will continue technical support such as developing customized applications that allow users to access the web office anytime and anywhere without restrictions on their access environment, as well as API (Application Programming Interface) integration.
A Polaris Office official stated, “Following the supply of ‘Polaris Office Edu’ to the Gyeongnam Office of Education’s ‘iTalkTalk’ platform in cooperation with our web office business partner Naver, we have decided to specify the technical cooperation areas with the Gyeongnam Office of Education and strengthen our collaborative relationship. We will work together to implement customized educational support functions through our web office products to bridge the educational gap among students and enable digital innovation in the education sector.”
A representative from the Gyeongnam Office of Education explained, “‘iTalkTalk’ differs from general online classes as it supports blended learning (a mix of online and offline learning) based on big data and artificial intelligence, and allows users to utilize various intelligent educational curriculum support systems with a single account, leading to an increase in users. Through this cooperation, we expect user convenience to be further enhanced in providing a blended learning environment.”
‘Polaris Office Edu’ is an education version of ‘Polaris Office Web’. It supports communication and online education between teachers and students through login integration with the Naver Whale browser and Whale Space, and provides document editing, customized learning support to bridge learning gaps, and a blended learning environment.
