The National Institute of Environmental Research's Air Quality Integrated Forecast Center announced that on this day, fine dust levels are 'Bad' in the Seoul metropolitan area, Chungcheong region, Honam region, Daegu, Ulsan, Gyeongbuk, and Jeju areas, while other regions are 'Moderate'. Busan and Gyeongnam are expected to temporarily reach 'Bad' levels at night.
As of 4 PM, the hourly average fine dust concentration by city/province is Seoul 58㎍/㎥, Gyeonggi 57㎍/㎥, Chungbuk 54㎍/㎥, Chungnam 53㎍/㎥, Sejong 50㎍/㎥, Incheon 48㎍/㎥, etc.
High concentration fine dust is expected to gradually dissipate starting from the central-western region in the afternoon of the 12th.
On this day, fine dust levels are forecasted to be 'Bad' in Sejong, Chungbuk, Honam region, Yeongnam region, and Jeju area, while other regions are expected to be 'Moderate'.
However, the Seoul metropolitan area, Gangwon region, Daejeon, and Chungnam are forecasted to temporarily reach 'Bad' levels in the morning.
The National Institute of Environmental Research stated, "Although fine dust from the previous day remains in most regions nationwide causing high concentrations, smooth atmospheric dispersion in the afternoon will gradually clear the fine dust starting from the central-western region."
