Aekyung Industrial, Donating Daily Necessities to Needy Seoul Residents Since 2012...Cumulative Total Exceeds 27.3 Billion KRW
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] Seoul Metropolitan Government, Aekyung Industrial, and the Seoul Social Welfare Council’s Seoul Itda Food Bank Center held the 'Hope Package Sharing Event Filled with Love and Respect' on the 13th at the Seoul Itda Food Bank Center.
The event was attended by Song Ki-bok, Executive Director of Aekyung Industrial, Kim Hyun-hoon, Chairman of the Seoul Social Welfare Council, and Kim Do-sik, Deputy Mayor for Political Affairs of Seoul.
This event was planned to deliver a message of hope to vulnerable groups around us who are struggling due to COVID-19, encouraging them to overcome difficult situations together. Through the event, 3,000 sets of Aekyung Industrial Co., Ltd.’s own household product packages will be delivered to vulnerable groups such as elderly living alone and single-parent families.
Since 2012, Aekyung Industrial has continuously donated more than 27.3 billion KRW worth of its own products to neighbors in need in Seoul. The company has been carrying out ongoing social contribution projects through various volunteer and donation activities such as briquette delivery, meal service for the elderly, and kimchi sharing. The Hope Package consists of Aekyung Industrial’s household products including toothbrushes, shampoo, hand sanitizing tissues, and hand wash. These packages will be received at the Itda Food Bank Center and distributed to food banks and markets in 25 autonomous districts.
