Teachers and children from Peter Pan Daycare participated in the Hope 2022 Sharing Campaign by bringing all the donations they had collected so far.
The teachers wanted to teach the 2- to 3-year-old children about the act of helping others and its value.
After consulting with parents, whenever the children ate well or greeted others properly?so-called good behavior?they were given coins to put into a piggy bank.
When handing over the coins or wanting to put them into the piggy bank, they were told that the collected coins would be used to help neighbors in need.
Over the past month, the little hands filled the piggy banks, and with the teachers' contributions, a total of 108,180 won was raised.
The children visiting the center each held a red piggy bank shaped like a milk carton.
Like Santas carrying gift bundles, the children tightly held their piggy banks so as not to lose them and proudly presented them.
Director Kwon Byung-hee said, “I am very happy that the children have come to know the joy of sharing and are practicing love for their neighbors together. We will help them grow into people who know how to give and strive to raise them healthily as future leaders.”
