Naju Natural Dyeing Foundation Draws Attention with Development of Natural Dyed Tableware for Pets
[Naju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] The Jeonnam Craft Creation Support Center, operated by the Naju City Natural Dyeing Cultural Foundation (Chairman Kang In-gyu), has attracted attention by developing a pet dining table dyed with natural dyes.
The foundation announced on the 10th that it developed the natural dye dining table in response to the diversification and increasing demand for pet products in the era of ten million pets.
To develop the dining table, the foundation devoted a long time to tasks such as adding eco-friendly substances to natural dyes and finding the optimal temperature conditions for wood dyeing.
Through this, they succeeded in enhancing the dyeability of natural dyes such as indigo and gardenia, developing an eco-friendly dining table that is differentiated from other regions, has beautiful colors, and is harmless to pet health.
Heo Buk-gu, the foundation's secretary-general, said, “Naju has a high brand value for natural dyeing, so we developed natural dyeing technology to be used in wooden products as well. The natural dye pet dining table is eco-friendly and beautiful, and we expect increased interest and consumption from pet owners.”
The foundation plans to transfer the technology to local natural dyeing and woodworking workshops after completing the patent application for the wood dining table dyeing technology.
Meanwhile, the Jeonnam Craft Creation Support Center is operated by designating the Naju City Natural Dyeing Cultural Foundation as the project agency by Jeonnam Province, under the Craft Creation Support Center project hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and publicized by the Korea Craft & Design Foundation.
