Samsung Asset Management Recommends Seobonggyun as CEO Candidate
[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] Samsung Asset Management announced on the 10th that it held a nomination committee meeting and recommended Seobonggyun, Head of Sales and Trading (S&T) at Samsung Securities (Executive Director), as the new CEO candidate.
Seobonggyun, the new CEO candidate, is an asset management expert with about 30 years of experience in the financial investment industry. He served as the head of Goldman Sachs Korea, was the head of the asset management division at Samsung Securities last year, and this year served as the head of the S&T division at Samsung Securities.

Samsung Asset Management stated, "We expect him to solidify Samsung Asset Management's position in the ETF market and lead the expansion of global infrastructure," adding, "We plan to hold a shareholders' meeting and board meeting soon to officially appoint Seobonggyun as CEO."
