Leap to a Digital and Data-Driven 'Life and Finance Platform'
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] Shinhan Card has been recognized externally for its efforts to leap forward as a 'Life and Finance Platform' by winning major digital innovation awards this year.
On the 10th, Shinhan Card announced that it received the Prime Minister's Award at the '28th Corporate Innovation Awards' hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Speaker of the National Assembly Award in the management category at the '21st Korea Digital Management Innovation Awards' hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and organized by the Korea Big Data Society and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA).
Shinhan Card explained that these awards recognize the achievements of Shinhan Play, launched by adding lifestyle elements to finance, aiming to become a comprehensive lifestyle finance platform company beyond the card and financial industries.
Shinhan Play provides a super app service by integrating not only financial areas such as asset management and banking, including existing simple payments, but also partner company integrated membership accumulated with a single barcode, wallet services such as ID and authentication, and customized content based on customer interests into one application (app).
There are also innovative achievements in fintech-based digital payments, such as the expansion of the facial recognition payment system Shinhan FacePay and the highest number of selections as an innovative financial service designated by the Financial Services Commission.
