Professor Kim Mincheol of Chosun University Awarded Academic Prize by the Korean Society of Sport Industry Management
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] The Department of Sports Industry at Chosun University recently announced on the 9th that Professor Kim Min-chul received the 2021 Academic Award from the Korean Society for Sport Industry Management.
Professor Kim Min-chul was selected as the awardee in recognition of the academic excellence and originality of his paper. To date, he has published over 110 academic papers domestically and internationally. He has also conducted more than 40 research projects for national and local governments and is currently the principal investigator for a major research institute support project conducted by the National Research Foundation of Korea.
Professor Kim previously received the Korean Society for Sport Industry Management Academic Award in 2010, the Korean Society of Sport Science Best Paper Award in 2012, and the Sport Science Research Award in 2013. In 2020, he was honored with the Korea Sports Council Sports Award (Research Division) and the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Commendation, followed by the Academic Award in 2021.
Meanwhile, the Korean Society for Sport Industry Management aims to cultivate field-oriented sports management experts and promotes cooperation with the government, corporations, and private organizations in the sports industry field.
