Daegu Yeongnam High School and Korea Inclusive Finance Agency Receive Deputy Prime Minister's Award for Economic Education
[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] On the 9th, the Ministry of Economy and Finance announced that Daegu Yeongnam High School and the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency were selected as the recipients of the 2021 Republic of Korea Economic Education Deputy Prime Minister Award.
According to the Ministry, Yeongnam High School created the 'Y (Yeong-Nam) Economic Policy Forum,' conducting question-and-discussion-based economic education and hosting mock financial investment competitions, presenting a model case for school economic education. The Agency was recognized for its contribution to preventing financial fraud by rapidly transforming face-to-face education, which was restricted due to COVID-19, into untact education such as interactive video conferencing and metaverse platforms. In addition, 25 individuals and organizations received certificates and monetary prizes, including the Economic Education Association President's Award, the Korea Development Institute (KDI) President's Award, and the Economic Four Organizations President's Award.
