"Trump Nearly Lost His Life During COVID Infection" ... White House False Statement Revealed
Blood Oxygen Saturation Drops to 86%
[Asia Economy Reporter Na Ye-eun] Testimony has emerged that former President Donald Trump’s blood oxygen saturation dropped to a dangerous level when he was infected with COVID-19 last year.
According to CNN and other outlets on the 7th (local time), Mark Meadows, former Chief of Staff to President Trump, revealed in his recently published memoir that Trump’s blood oxygen saturation dropped to 86% before he was diagnosed with COVID-19 and hospitalized.
Blood oxygen saturation is generally considered normal at 95% or above, and if it falls below 90%, hypoxia can cause breathing difficulties, leading to a critical condition.
Meadows also stated that Trump tested positive for COVID-19 not in early October last year as initially reported, but on September 26. On that day, despite testing positive, he attended a Supreme Court nominee celebration at the White House, and 12 attendees later contracted COVID-19.
However, Trump later tested negative in a retest. It is known that he participated in a TV debate against candidate Biden on September 29.
Trump then tested positive again on October 1, and the next morning, his physician informed Chief of Staff Meadows that Trump’s blood oxygen saturation was at 86%, a critical level. Upon hearing this, aides suggested hospitalization, explaining that Trump was so weak at the time he could not even carry his briefcase.
Professor Jonathan Reiner of George Washington University Hospital explained to CNN that considering Trump’s age and other factors, an oxygen saturation level of 86% was "a life-threatening situation."
