Secret 'Click' on Subway Station Escalator... Caught by Citizen Report
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] A man in his 30s was caught by the police for secretly filming a woman’s back on an escalator at a subway station.
The Gangseo Police Station in Seoul announced on the 8th that they have booked and are investigating a man in his 30s, identified as Mr. A, on charges of violating the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Crimes (filming using a camera).
According to the police, Mr. A is suspected of filming the back of a woman riding an escalator at Magoknaru Station on Seoul Subway Line 5 around 11 p.m. on the 6th using his smartphone.
At the time, another citizen nearby caught Mr. A and struggled with him, while other citizens called the police. Mr. A was arrested on the spot by the responding officers.
