Gwangyang Fire Station, Join the Safety! High Five Challenge
Using Mobile Phone LED Apps for Posting on Personal SNS and More
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] Jeonnam Gwangyang Fire Station (Chief Choi Hyun-kyung) announced on the 7th that it is conducting the Safety! High Five Challenge participation campaign as part of the 'Fire Safety Pledge Movement,' which can be easily participated in through a QR code, to create a fire prevention atmosphere during the winter season when fire risks increase.
This challenge was promoted by selecting a publicity plan that is easy for residents to understand and participate in. Using a mobile phone LED app, participants post on personal SNS, and through the participation of fire officials, traditional markets, and other fire-related personnel, the campaign aims to enhance the promotional effect of the fire safety pledge movement.
The Fire Safety Pledge Movement consists of easily memorable and actionable items for citizens, including ▲ not leaving the cooking area unattended ▲ unplugging electric heating devices after use ▲ using electrical outlets with leakage breakers ▲ placing fire extinguishers next to boilers and cleaning them regularly ▲ not burning trash near houses or forests.
Chief Choi Hyun-kyung said, “We are conducting the fire safety pledge movement to eliminate fire vulnerabilities in daily life in advance and ensure fire safety throughout the winter season.” He added, “We hope citizens participate and take time to inspect fire risk factors in their homes beforehand.”
