[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] A man in his 60s who stabbed a woman in the face with a weapon over unpaid fruit credit was arrested by the police.
According to the police on the 7th, the Suseo Police Station in Seoul is investigating Mr. A on suspicion of attempted murder.
Mr. A is accused of stabbing the victim, Ms. B, four times in the face and the back of the head with a knife used for cutting vegetables around 4:30 p.m. the previous day in front of Suseo Station in Gangnam-gu, after an argument broke out when Ms. B refused to pay about 26,000 won of credit and said, "Kill me."
The police arrested Mr. A on the spot as a suspect trying to flee after the crime and secured the weapon. Ms. B was injured in the face but is reported to be in no life-threatening condition.
The police are investigating the detailed circumstances of the incident and plan to request an arrest warrant for Mr. A.
