Securing Certification Following ISO 27001 and ISMS
[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] KB Securities has obtained the Information Security Management System and Personal Information Protection Management System (ISMS-P) certification.
KB Securities announced on the 7th that it acquired this certification for electronic financial services (financial products, trading, banking, asset management, investment information).
This certification is granted only after passing an audit by a certification body on 102 control standards and 384 inspection items stipulated by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Personal Information Protection Commission. KB Securities underwent the certification audit by the Financial Security Institute last October.
With this, KB Securities has secured three personal information protection-related certifications, including the previously obtained international standard ISO 27001 certification and the domestic ISMS certification.

Shin Yong-cheol, Executive Director and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of KB Securities, said, "Obtaining this certification is an opportunity to further enhance customer trust in online financial services," adding, "We will continue to strengthen the level of customer information protection so that various new services under preparation, such as the MyData business, can also be provided stably."
