Online Music Performance Entry Barriers Lowered
Ministry of Culture and Korea Creative Content Agency to Open Coca Music Studio on 7th
Supporting Digital Transformation with an Environment Optimized for Online Use
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency opened an online immersive K-pop concert hall on the 7th. It is the Coca Music Studio, newly renovated from the K-Art Hall located in Olympic Park. It is equipped with a variable stage and spatial sound equipment integrated with special effects and technology, as well as an internet broadcasting system. Operation and production are handled by professional personnel. It supports digital transformation with an environment optimized for online performances and fosters Hallyu content.
There are four main immersive technologies applied. V-Dium, which implements a virtual concert hall using extended reality (XR) technology; digital 3D modeling that reproduces textures and shapes identical to reality in virtual space; SyncRoom, which eliminates latency in real-time online connections; and immersive sound that provides a live music experience to online audiences. A representative from the Korea Creative Content Agency said, "We confirmed sufficient potential while conducting 'On The K: The First Stage' last October," adding, "We plan to present the 'On The K' concert series from the end of this month through the first half of next year."
