View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Hye-young] The Korea International Trade Association held a one-on-one meetup between the global cosmetic brand Shiseido and domestic startups on the 6th.
The Trade Association announced that on the day, Shiseido and five domestic startups held a remote meeting at the Trade Tower in Samseong-dong. Shiseido is a global company headquartered in Japan and is one of the world's top five cosmetic companies.
In this remote meeting, Shiseido sought domestic startup companies to collaborate on next-generation skincare research. Five companies participated, including PiQuant, which has a cosmetic ingredient analysis solution, and Sky Therapeutics, which recently attracted 33.4 billion KRW in investment through the development of a bioavailability enhancement platform.
Kim Cheol-hwan, CEO of Sky Therapeutics, said, "Since Shiseido is a company that has continuously pursued research cooperation in the dermatology field with partners in Japan and overseas, I hope this meetup will lead to joint research and create synergy with a global conglomerate."
