[2021 Capital Investment Award] From Customized Chatbots to Differentiated Content, the Research Powerhouse
[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] KB Securities received the Best Research Award at this year's Asia Capital Investment Awards for its efforts in creating a user-friendly environment that allows customers easier access and providing differentiated information ranging from unlisted companies to overseas firms.
KB Securities Research Center launched the industry's first "Digital Dictionary" service in July last year, following the customized investment information chatbot "Rebot" and the research-dedicated website "KB Research." This service allows investors who find unfamiliar technical terms difficult to immediately look up frequently used terms in reports. Introducing the industry's first "subscription economy" model, the "Prime Club," which provides timely investment information for a fixed monthly fee, is also a notable achievement.
They also published in-depth materials ahead of topics that investors are interested in. The monthly ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) in-depth analysis report "KB Focus on ESG" and the overseas real estate research team?the only one among mega securities firms?provide specialized analysis services on domestic and international real estate markets and overseas alternative investment assets.
In October, they established the New Growth Enterprise Solutions Team and expanded their scope to include unlisted companies. The New Growth Enterprise Solutions Team provides analysis materials on promising companies in various growth industries such as e-commerce, mobility, fintech (finance + technology), bio, and green energy, and plans to hold various events to offer opportunities for interaction between related departments and customers.
