Naintech Receives $30 Million Export Tower Award... "Exports of Secondary Battery and Display Equipment"
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Ninetech Co., Ltd., a specialized company in secondary batteries and semiconductor-display component equipment, announced on the 6th that it has been awarded the $30 million Export Tower at the 58th Trade Day.
The 'Export Tower' on Trade Day, held annually on December 5th, was established by the government to commend the efforts of export companies and contributors. The criteria are based on the combined amount of export value according to customs and the amount remitted to the domestic headquarters from overseas branches, calculated from July 1 of the previous year to June 30 of the current year. Export companies apply for the award, and then the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea International Trade Association review and present the awards.
Park Geun-no, CEO of Ninetech, said, "Despite many difficulties worldwide due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are very pleased to receive the $30 million Export Tower this time," adding, "As the pandemic situation gradually improves, we are optimistic that we will achieve better results in 2022." He continued, "Next year, we aim to meet market expectations with even greater growth."
Meanwhile, on the 29th of last month, Ninetech accelerated preparations for expanding secondary battery demand by additionally constructing production infrastructure and research facilities in anticipation of increased secondary battery orders.

The investment amount for the new facilities is 4.4 billion KRW, and the investment site is the Gosaek 3 Industrial Complex in Suwon.
