Fine of 2 Million Won Imposed
[Asia Economy Reporter Na Yeeun] A public official in his 20s was fined for exposing specific body parts to women he encountered on the street.
On the 3rd, Judge Park Seongjun of the Daegu District Court Criminal Division 8 sentenced public official A (29) to a fine of 2 million won for the charge of public obscenity. He was also ordered to complete 40 hours of a sexual violence treatment program and was banned from employment at institutions related to children, adolescents, and persons with disabilities for one year.
A was indicted for exposing his body parts in front of two women on the street in Buk-gu, Daegu, last February. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a padded jumper without underwear and opened the jumper toward the women he met on the street.
In court, A claimed that he could not wear underwear due to inflammation and that the padded jacket flaps opened due to strong wind, but the court did not accept this argument.
