At the board meeting, reports on the overall operation of the scholarship foundation were presented, and discussions were held on the basic asset incorporation plan (draft), the second supplementary budget (draft), the lease contract renewal for the Seoul and Pohang dormitory commercial spaces, partial amendments to the Pohang Scholarship Foundation operation regulations (draft), partial amendments to the Pohang Scholarship Foundation personnel regulations (draft), and approval of the 2022 business plan (draft).
The foundation approved the 2022 scholarship student selection plan, agreeing to provide scholarships totaling 800 million KRW to outstanding local students.
This year, scholarships amounting to 662 million KRW were awarded to 440 university scholarship students and sports talent scholarship students, and plans are in place to select and support high school scholarship students this month.
The proposal to improve the aging facilities of the Seoul and Pohang dormitories and expand convenience facilities was also approved to provide residents with a safer and more comfortable learning environment.
