CJ Logistics, Crosswalk Signal Waiting Sticker 'Yellow Footprints' Sparks Wave of Support
[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] CJ Logistics announced on the 3rd that it received installation requests from 353 locations nationwide for the 'Yellow Footprints' installation event conducted to prevent traffic accidents and promote a culture of safety. The Yellow Footprints are footprint stickers attached to sidewalks to maintain a safe distance while waiting at pedestrian crossing signals.
CJ Logistics stated that 526 people participated in the 'Leave a Footprint of Support for Yellow Footprints' event held on the official website from the 17th of last month to the 2nd of this month. The event was conducted by leaving supportive comments about the Yellow Footprints and suggesting areas where installation was desired.
Among the 526 participants, 353 recommended various locations nationwide, including Seoul, Gyeonggi, Miryang in Gyeongnam, and Jeongeup in Jeonbuk, as desired installation areas for the Yellow Footprints. About 30% of these, 110 locations, were in the Gyeonggi-do area.
CJ Logistics plans to prioritize reviewing the areas reported in this event during next year's Yellow Footprints installation campaign. The company previously installed 300 Yellow Footprints in both directions at 30 pedestrian crossings in child protection zones such as daycare centers and elementary schools in the Gunpo area last September.
This year, CJ Logistics has been conducting various traffic safety campaigns with Good Neighbors to promote proper traffic safety awareness among pedestrians and drivers. Representative campaigns include the Yellow Footprints installation campaign and the 'Safe Speed 5030' campaign, which involved attaching stickers indicating safe speeds to over 1,000 delivery vehicles.
