According to the county on the 2nd, the mobile vaccination center will tour each township until the 16th. Each team consists of 8 members, including doctors, nurses, firefighting personnel, and administrative staff. To prepare for emergencies, an ambulance and paramedics from Haenam Fire Station will be on standby at all times.
The daily vaccination capacity is about 100 people, and the location is the local health branch office. Those wishing to receive the vaccine should apply in advance at the township office or health branch office in their area.
If transportation on the vaccination day is difficult, assistance can be requested from the village chief, the assigned care worker, or township office staff. After vaccination, recipients will be monitored for adverse reactions for at least three days.
This mobile vaccination service is being conducted to facilitate rapid booster vaccinations and convenience following the closure of the public health center vaccination center on the 26th of last month and the occurrence of COVID-19 infections among those aged 60 and over who have completed their second dose.
With the closure of the public health center vaccination center, vaccinations are now being administered at 27 entrusted medical institutions across towns and townships. As of the 30th of last month, there are 4,980 eligible individuals aged 75 and older for booster shots, with 3,808 having made advance reservations and 1,432 having completed the booster vaccination.
County Governor Myeong Hyun-gwan stated, “We will do our best to promptly complete booster vaccinations for high-risk groups such as seniors aged 75 and older and residents of care facilities to enhance community herd immunity and prevent the spread of infection.” He urged, “Unvaccinated individuals, students, and priority vaccination groups vulnerable to infection should hurry to get vaccinated.”
