Professor Ryu Seong-gi of Gyeongsang National University Awarded the 'Korean Society of Mechanical Engineers Academic Award'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Gyeongsang National University (GNU, President Kwon Soon-ki) announced that Professor Ryu Seong-gi of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, College of Engineering, received the 'Academic Award' and a prize of 10 don of gold at the '2021 Korean Society of Mechanical Processing Engineers Autumn Academic Conference General Meeting' held on the 2nd at the Landing Hall of Jeju Shinhwa World.
The Academic Award of the Korean Society of Mechanical Processing Engineers is given to the scientist who has made the greatest contribution to the development of Korea's mechanical processing and production design engineering fields, based on achievements such as publishing papers in JKSMPE journals and SCI journals over the past three years, outstanding academic activities, and contributions to the field.
Professor Ryu has served as the Director of the Talent Development Institute at Gyeongsang National University, Head of the Creative Aviation IT Convergence Talent Training Project Group, Director of the Aircraft Parts Technology Research Institute, and Director of the Industry-Academia Cooperation Center. He is also actively engaged in volunteer work as an evaluation committee member for government agencies such as the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology.
