SK Rent-a-Car Obtains First 'Family-Friendly Company' Certification Since Establishment
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] SK Rent-a-Car announced on the 2nd that it has obtained the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family's 'Family-Friendly Company' certification for the first time since its founding.
Introduced in 2008, the Family-Friendly Certification is a system that grants certification through evaluation to companies and public institutions that exemplary operate family-friendly systems such as support for childbirth and child-rearing, flexible work systems, and the creation of a family-friendly workplace culture.
It was introduced to promote the creation of a family-friendly social environment where workers can harmoniously balance family life and work life in response to social changes such as low birth rates, aging population, and increased economic participation of women.
SK Rent-a-Car explained that since the launch of the integrated corporation last year, it has steadily worked to create a family-friendly workplace culture by supporting childbirth and child-rearing, operating flexible work systems, establishing workplace daycare centers, and providing family care leave.
Additionally, it continues to expand employee welfare benefits such as creating and operating maternal protection spaces including nursing rooms, recovery rooms, and medical rooms, providing family vacation facilities, supporting family health checkups, operating child academic support programs, and supporting long-term service leave.
SK Rent-a-Car passed the Family-Friendly Certification approval after document screening and employee satisfaction surveys in June, and on-site inspections by related organizations in September, and was recognized as a family-friendly certified company until the end of November 2024.
