[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] On the 1st, Jinju City in Gyeongnam held the opening ceremony of the ‘Skills Development Education Students’ Work Exhibition’ and a cultural performance at the Skills Development Center, attended by Mayor Jo Gyu-il, guests, and about 90 others.
This year marks the 33rd exhibition, which was a great success with 120 students from 20 courses submitting their works.
The exhibited works include a total of 120 pieces: 48 paintings, 12 calligraphy works, 36 costumes, and 24 crafts, and will be displayed at Jinju City Skills Development Center (Mujigae Dongsan) until December 7.
At the opening ceremony, a Culture Day event was held simultaneously, featuring performances in various genres such as jazz, traditional Korean music (gugak), and acoustic guitar, providing a healing moment to soothe hearts weary from COVID-19.
One participating student said, “Although this is my first work and somewhat imperfect, I am very excited and proud to have it displayed in the exhibition,” adding, “I want to continue learning and challenging myself to develop my talents and dreams.”
