Kim, the standing election committee chairman, appeared on CBS Radio's 'Kim Hyun-jung's News Show' that day and dismissed the issue, saying, "Everyone is moving so busily that these things happen. In fact, I heard from elsewhere yesterday as well, but I was notified of the final plan only at 10:30 PM."
He added, "Ideally, decisions should be made in advance by higher-ups, and discussions and planning about who will attend should take place. However, there were parts where this did not go well."
Recently, Lee was excluded from the process of planning Yoon's Chungcheong schedule and has been at odds over personnel recruitment for the election committee, leading him to step back from party affairs for two days.
When asked if the core issue was that Kim Jong-in, former emergency committee chairman of the People Power Party, did not join the election committee, Kim said, "There were some disagreements regarding the weight of roles," and added, "It's not that we don't want to have Chairman Kim Jong-in. We always want to have him."
He continued, "In elections, people talk about who is the one-top or two-top, but it is not something that one or two people can lead alone," and said, "Like flowing water, all supporters must flow together both inside and outside."

When asked if the bus left with the door open, shouldn't the bus speed up, he replied, "There is also an open car." Kim said, "An open car can run with the door open. Considering various factors, sometimes you close the door, but sometimes you open it. Do you only think of cars that cannot go unless the door is closed? There are various forms to consider."
