[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] Kwon Tae-shin, Vice Chairman of the Federation of Korean Industries (FKI), attended the 'Market Economy and Entrepreneurship Contest Awards Ceremony' held at the FKI Conference Center in Yeouido, Seoul on the 1st, where he presented awards to the winners and delivered messages of congratulations and encouragement.
Vice Chairman Kwon stated, "The Korean economy is currently facing prolonged challenges due to COVID-19 and a decline in medium- to long-term growth drivers," adding, "To enhance the competitiveness and dynamism of our economy, it is necessary to restore entrepreneurship and create a market-friendly environment conducive to business." He explained the purpose of holding the contest.
He also explained that the FKI, celebrating its 60th anniversary, is making efforts to support free business activities and to alleviate various regulations and conflicts that hinder entrepreneurship. He urged the awardees attending the ceremony to lead new economic growth in Korea based on creative and challenging entrepreneurship as future leaders of the Korean economy.
