Seoul Foundation of Women and Family Hosts Special Lectures and Exhibitions on Dating Violence, Introducing Policy Changes and Overseas Cases
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Foundation of Women and Family is holding an online exhibition introducing special lectures on dating violence, related issues, policy changes, and overseas cases in observance of the Sexual Violence and Domestic Violence Eradication Week.
The special lecture will be broadcast live on the Seoul Foundation of Women and Family's YouTube channel on the 30th. Hosted by Song Ran-hee, co-representative of Korea Women's Hotline, the lecture will review recent trends related to dating violence. Following this, writer Yeon-a (pen name), who has personally experienced dating violence and writes to raise voices against violence toward women, and Oh My News reporter Lee Joo-yeon, who won the Human Rights Reporting Award for a special project on 'dating murder,' will each present on their respective topics.
The online exhibition on the status and response to dating violence will be held on a special site prepared by the Foundation from the 30th until December 31. Visitors can view data at a glance, including statistics on dating violence and stalking, records of incidents and changes, current policies and policy proposals, and examples of policies from overseas countries and cities.
