Suncheon-si Dosadong 'Suncheon-style Kwonbun Movement Season 7, Kimchi Kimjang Relay Together' Volunteer Activity Continues
Reflecting on the Meaning of a Village Community Living Together Through Volunteering and Sharing
[Suncheon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Dosadong Administrative Welfare Center in Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Heo Seok) announced on the 29th that it conducted the ‘Suncheon-style Gwonbun Movement Season 7, Together Kim-chi~! Kimchi-making Relay Volunteer Service’ on the 26th.
About 40 members from seven functional organizations including the Dosadong Residents’ Autonomy Committee, Saemaeul Women’s Association, Tongjang Council, Youth Association, Barugesalgi Committee, Saemaeul Leaders Association, and Majungmul Welfare Council participated in this kimchi-making relay volunteer service. They made kimchi by mixing locally produced salted napa cabbage and seasoning, continuing the warmth of the Suncheon-style Gwonbun Movement Season 7, Together Kimchi Kimchi-making Relay Volunteer Service.
The 200 boxes of kimchi made by the volunteers’ own hands were immediately delivered to 45 senior citizen centers, 2 local children’s centers, and 153 vulnerable households within Dosadong to help them have a warm winter.
The heads of the functional organizations who participated in this event said, “We hope that the kimchi made with the sincerity of the functional organization volunteers will be enjoyed deliciously, and we will continue social contribution activities to spread a community atmosphere where neighbors in blind spots live together.”
