Gwangyang Fire Station Holds Non-Face-to-Face Fire Safety Quiz Competition
Raising Fire Awareness Through Voluntary Home Safety Inspections
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] Jeonnam Gwangyang Fire Station (Chief Choi Hyun-kyung) announced on the 27th that it held a non-face-to-face fire safety quiz competition for all 26 students of Daap Middle School in Gwangyang City on the 25th.
This quiz competition was held to raise awareness of fire hazards by enhancing youth crisis response capabilities and promoting voluntary home safety inspections to prevent residential fires in observance of Fire Prevention Month.
In addition, to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the event was conducted non-face-to-face using a video conferencing program.
Chief Choi Hyun-kyung of the Fire Station said, “Through the quiz competition, students had the opportunity to voluntarily study and explore how to respond to various disasters and basic fire safety knowledge. We hope they continue to maintain steady interest in safety. We also thank the Gwangyang City Office of Education and the faculty and staff of Daap Middle School for their active cooperation during the event. Gwangyang Fire Station will do its best to spread a culture of safety through various policies.”
