Fire at New Construction Site in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul... Extinguished After Over 3 Hours (Comprehensive)
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] At around 12:09 PM on the 26th, a fire broke out at a new building construction site in Mullae-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, and was completely extinguished by around 3 PM the same day.
Sixty people, including construction workers, evacuated due to the fire. There were no casualties.
The fire department issued a Level 1 response and deployed 140 firefighters and 40 vehicles to the scene to extinguish the fire. The fire reportedly started in the basement of the building where Styrofoam insulation work was underway.
