The competition, held the previous day, aims to cultivate proper financial values among youth and foster healthy economic citizens. It was conducted as part of the 'Think Money Financial Education Program,' which Korea Citibank has been operating in cooperation with the Korea YWCA Federation since 2006.
At this competition, various teaching methods and content for effective financial and economic education were introduced. In particular, lectures on revitalizing the local economy and supporting vulnerable groups, financial and economic education for a sustainable society, and investment-related financial education for the younger generation received high praise. The well-received content and teaching methods will be introduced and utilized in the Think Money program and local economic education centers in the future.
Um Kyung-sik, head of Korea Citibank, explained, "In the current situation where education content and methods suitable for the non-face-to-face digital environment accelerated by COVID-19 are being widely discussed, it is necessary to continuously improve the content and teaching methods of financial and economic education."
