KOSPI Weakens Near 2950 Level Due to Institutional Selling... KOSDAQ Turns Downward
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jihwan] The KOSPI has fallen to the 2950 level due to institutional selling. Large-cap KOSPI stocks such as Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix are down around 2%. The KOSDAQ, which had maintained an upward trend throughout the day, turned downward after 11 a.m.
As of 11:29 a.m. on the 26th, the KOSPI is at 2951.75, down 28.52 points (-0.96%) from the previous day.
By investor type, individuals and foreigners are net buyers of 246.5 billion KRW and 5.4 billion KRW respectively. On the other hand, institutions are net sellers of 270.3 billion KRW.
Among the top 10 KOSPI stocks by market capitalization, semiconductor leaders such as Samsung Electronics (-1.76%) and SK Hynix (-2.55%) showed significant declines.
NAVER (-1.51%), Kakao (-0.78%), and LG Chem (-1.08%) also fell. Meanwhile, Samsung Biologics (0.83%) and Samsung SDI (0.56%) rose.
At the same time, the KOSDAQ is at 1013.47, down 2.19 points (0.22%) from the previous day.
By investor type, foreigners and institutions were net buyers of 32.5 billion KRW and 15.3 billion KRW respectively. Individuals were net sellers of 35 billion KRW.

Among the top 10 KOSDAQ stocks by market capitalization, most are on the rise. Ecopro BM (1.29%), Pearl Abyss (5.02%), L&F (0.47%), Kakao Games (2.57%), Wemade (1.66%), and Celltrion Pharm (0.33%) increased. On the other hand, SK Materials (-3.34%) and HL Biopharma (-2.33%) declined.
