Shinan-gun Holds Producers' Conference to Promote Premiumization and Branding of Solar Salt

View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Sinan County, Jeollanam-do announced that on the 25th, it held the '2021 Solar Salt Producers Conference and Human Rights Education' at the Sinan National Sports Center, hosted by the Sinan Solar Salt Producers Association (President Hong Cheol-gi).
Marking its 10th anniversary this year, the Sinan Solar Salt Producers Conference was organized to boost morale, encourage, and raise human rights awareness among solar salt producers who are leading the premiumization and branding of solar salt despite difficult conditions. County Governor Park Woo-ryang and heads of related organizations attended to offer encouragement.
During the conference, the Solar Salt Producers Association donated 10 million KRW as a scholarship fund for nurturing talent in Sinan County and presented plaques of appreciation to the heads of agricultural and fisheries cooperatives who have worked hard in purchasing and distributing solar salt and have shown generous support and love.
Additionally, County Governor Park Woo-ryang gave a special lecture on human rights, and a human rights expert from the Jeollanam-do Disabled Rights Advocacy Agency was invited to provide human rights education to the producers.
In particular, President Hong Cheol-gi of the Solar Salt Producers Association and its members pledged a self-purification resolution to actively strive for enhancing the Sinan Solar Salt brand image and protecting workers' human rights.

Governor Park Woo-ryang encouraged the solar salt producers amid their difficult realities and efforts, stating, “Through human rights education, everyone must strive to comply with labor laws and protect human rights when employing workers,” and urged, “Please make efforts for self-purification to prevent any strong measures such as permit cancellations due to human rights violations.”
