Minister Chung criticized Japan, saying, "It is immoral for the perpetrator to deny the truth, even to revise history or wait for the survivors to pass away in hopes that these shameful acts will be forgotten," and emphasized, "a survivor-centered approach is the only way to heal the wounds of the survivors and restore their honor and dignity."
