The ESG Consortium, which includes 16 companies such as Mesh Korea Vroong, CastPro, Hunate, and Cheongnyeon Mobility, allowed participants to directly experience eco-friendly smart mobility devices from each participating company, including ultra-compact electric vehicles, battery-swappable electric two-wheelers, electric bicycles, electric vehicle chargers, and service platforms. This event serves as a strategic step toward the full-scale pilot project in Gyeonggi Province following the signing of an agreement on the 17th with Gyeonggi-do Corporation, which operates the public delivery app service "Baedal Teukgeup."
Alongside the experience event, presentations and discussions were held on the theme of "Sustainable Youth Job Creation and Regional Economic Revitalization." Additionally, a business agreement was signed with the Korea Intelligent Internet of Things Association to foster the eco-friendly mobility industry based on IoT, and a memorandum of understanding was established to promote the establishment of an industry-academia convergence support center at Pyeongchon Technical High School.
In particular, through the business agreement with Pyeongchon Technical High School, consortium member companies will provide opportunities to experience various mobility devices and equipment currently in use on-site, as well as offer employment opportunities after graduation. Pyeongchon Technical High School will support these activities by providing venues for experiencing various mobility devices.
Kim Jongbae, CEO of the ESG Consortium, stated, "We wanted students and faculty to experience what kind of talent is needed in the industrial field so they can grow into well-prepared young workers." He added, "Through cooperation with Baedal Teukgeup, we hope to contribute to environmental preservation and regional economic development by expanding the introduction of eco-friendly transportation means."
