Oh Byung-kwon Acting Director Delivers 10 Million Won in Red Cross Special Membership Fees
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] On the 22nd, Oh Byeong-kwon, Acting Governor of Gyeonggi Province, handed over a special Red Cross membership fee of 10 million won to Yoon Shin-il, Chairman of the Gyeonggi Branch of the Korean Red Cross.
Gyeonggi Province explained that it was the first among nationwide metropolitan local governments to deliver the special membership fee to encourage residents' participation ahead of the '2022 Red Cross Membership Fee Intensive Fundraising Period' starting from the 1st of next month.
At the handover ceremony held in the provincial government situation room, Acting Governor Oh said, "We will spare no support to ensure that the relief and volunteer activities of the Red Cross proceed without disruption."
