Chosun University Hospital Signs MOU for Developing Plant-Based Infectious Disease Vaccines and More
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Chosun University Hospital (Director Jeong Jonghoon) announced on the 22nd that it signed a business agreement with G-Plus Life Sciences (CEO Choi Seonghwa) in the hospital conference room to develop plant-based infectious disease vaccines and therapeutics.
The signing ceremony, held to establish a mutual cooperation system for the development of the bio industry and related business fields, was attended by about 10 officials from both organizations, including Jeong Jonghoon, director of Chosun University Hospital, and Choi Seonghwa, CEO of G-Plus Life Sciences Co., Ltd.
G-Plus Life Sciences, which signed the agreement on this day, is a leading gene-editing research company possessing the original CRISPR gene-editing technology, conducting research and development in various fields such as COVID-19 vaccines, plant-based immuno-oncology drugs, and Non-GMO seeds.
Through this business agreement, both organizations promised continuous mutual exchange and will promote the development of vaccines and therapeutics for infectious diseases including COVID-19 by utilizing a plant-based biopharmaceutical platform.
CEO Choi Seonghwa, who participated in the agreement, said, “We will make this an opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of the bio industry through continuous collaboration with Chosun University Hospital.”
In response, Director Jeong Jonghoon said, “If both organizations trust and cooperate on necessary areas based on their accumulated expertise, we will be able to achieve good results.”
