Korea Shell Petroleum Appoints Yerun Ramus as New CEO
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] Korea Shell Petroleum Co., Ltd. (Korea Shell) announced on the 19th that it has appointed Jeroen Lamers as the new CEO of Korea Shell Petroleum.
Jeroen Lamers, who joined Korea Shell Petroleum last October, has been involved in various business developments across Asia, including Japan, since joining Shell in 2014.
Born in the Netherlands, Jeroen Lamers earned a master's degree in Japanese Language and Literature from Leiden University in the Netherlands in 1992 and a Ph.D. from the Center for Korean and Japanese Language and Culture Studies at the same university in 1998. Having been active in the East Asia region for many years, Lamers has worked at the Netherlands Ministry of Economic Affairs' Overseas Investment Agency, International Business Division, and Agriculture & Innovation Bureau. From 2001 to 2004, he served as the Industry Officer at the Embassy of the Netherlands in Korea.
