Chorokbaem Media Completes Filming BTS Drama Co-produced with 'HYBE'... "Discussing Global OTT Release"
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Chorokbaem Media announced on the 22nd that it has completed the final filming of the drama "YOUTH," co-produced with "HYBE."
Chorokbaem Media successfully wrapped up filming two years after beginning full-scale production preparations. Post-production work is currently underway to enhance the quality of the project, and discussions regarding broadcasting on global OTT platforms are expected to take place soon.
"YOUTH" is a drama reconstructed based on the continuous fictional story called "Hwayangyeonhwa," which BTS has presented through official content such as albums and music videos since 2015. It portrays the school days and growth process of seven boys with a narrative structure separate from the actual artists.
In this drama, the seven boys were depicted to reflect new roles in line with the nature of the YOUTH project. Seo Jihoon, Noh Jonghyun, Ahn Jiho, Seo Youngju, Kim Yunwoo, Jung Woojin, and Jeon Jinseo played the seven boys as the main actors.
A Chorokbaem Media representative said, "YOUTH is a tentpole-scale pre-produced drama in which Chorokbaem Media directly invested and participated in production, a high-quality (well-made) drama created with great care over a long period. Following YOUTH, Chorokbaem Media will focus on securing pre-produced IP dramas for OTT platforms and continue to expand its lineup."
