Gwangju Dong-gu Lifelong Learning Center Establishes Itself as a Hub Facility

View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] Dong-gu, Gwangju (Mayor Im Taek) announced on the 21st that the Dong-gu Lifelong Learning Center, which opened in March, is establishing itself as a regional lifelong education hub facility with strong community support.
Since its opening in March, the Dong-gu Lifelong Learning Center has produced over 3,770 learners. Located in the downtown area of Gwangju, it offers easy accessibility and serves as a lifelong education space where anyone can easily enjoy and engage in learning regardless of class or gender.
There is also a job counseling office, making it recognized as a complex educational space that supports balancing work and learning.
The Dong-gu Lifelong Learning Center has operated various lifelong education programs such as the Donghaeng Donghaeng Program, Lifelong Education Program for the Disabled, New Middle-aged Life Third Act Program, and Education Blind Spot Program. It has achieved various results including 226 certification recipients and 3 external award-winning learners, establishing itself as a genuine lifelong learning institution for local residents.
Im Taek, Mayor of Dong-gu, said, "The Dong-gu Lifelong Learning Center will provide future-oriented job and startup opportunities through the operation of specialized programs by generation and career with selection and concentration, and lifelong learning incorporating new industries such as the 4th Industrial Revolution and AI." He added, "We will continue to support the center to grow into a lifelong learning center that anyone in the community can easily use by preparing various programs."
Meanwhile, the Dong-gu Lifelong Learning Center will operate 'Dong-gu Lifelong Learning Center Visit Day' on the 23rd, including a lifelong education exhibition and free one-day classes through talent donations by 22 instructors participating in lifelong learning classes.
