According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 19th, by the 21st, morning temperatures will be around 5 degrees Celsius in most parts of the country, with northern and eastern Gyeonggi, inland and mountainous Gangwon, inland Chungcheong, and northern Gyeongbuk experiencing temperatures around 0 degrees Celsius, making it cold. In particular, the morning temperature on the 20th in the Seoul metropolitan area, western Gangwon, and northern Chungcheong is expected to drop by 5 to 10 degrees or more compared to the 19th, making it feel even colder. The temperature difference between day and night on the 20th will also be very large, exceeding 15 degrees.
The lowest morning temperature on the 20th will range from -1 to 10 degrees Celsius, and the highest daytime temperature will be between 13 and 20 degrees Celsius. On the 21st, the lowest morning temperature is forecasted to be between 2 and 12 degrees Celsius, with daytime highs ranging from 13 to 19 degrees Celsius. The 20th will be mostly clear nationwide, with clouds gradually increasing from the afternoon. On the 21st, the weather will be mostly cloudy across the country, with rain expected in Jeju Island from the afternoon (12:00?15:00), and in the Seoul metropolitan area, northern Chungnam coastal areas, and southern coastal areas from night (21:00?24:00). Some southern regions (excluding the southern coast and northern Gyeongbuk) may experience light rain drops.
Until the morning of the 20th, dense fog with visibility less than 200 meters is expected in many areas of the Seoul metropolitan area, western Gangwon, Chungcheong, Jeolla, and inland Gyeongsang regions. Especially near rivers, lakes, valleys, and bridges adjacent to the West Sea (such as Yeongjong Bridge and Seohae Bridge) and roads, visibility may drop below 50 meters, with fog becoming denser than surrounding areas or visibility changing rapidly. Dense fog at inland airports may cause disruptions to flight operations, so caution is advised, the Korea Meteorological Administration requested.
