Gwangju Area CSAT 1st-2nd Period Absence Rates Decrease to 7.2% and 7.3%

View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] The absentee rate for the 2022 College Scholastic Ability Test was 7.2% and 7.3% for the 1st period (Korean) and 2nd period (Mathematics), respectively.
According to the Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education on the 18th, out of 17,001 test takers registered for the 1st period, 15,781 took the exam, showing a 7.2% absentee rate.
For the 2nd period (Mathematics), out of 16,614 registered test takers, 15,400 took the exam, resulting in a 7.3% absentee rate.
This figure is lower than last year's absentee rates of 8.1% (1st period) and 8.2% (2nd period).
On the day of the exam, four students showed COVID-19 symptoms and took the test in separate examination rooms prepared at four different schools.
After the exam, health authorities plan to conduct diagnostic tests at nearby public health centers for the four symptomatic students.
Students in self-quarantine took the exam at two specially prepared self-quarantine test centers.
Out of 43 registered self-quarantined test takers, 35 took the exam, and 8 were absent.
Among them, 31 arrived at the test centers by family vehicles, and 4 by ambulance.
Three confirmed COVID-19 positive test takers are taking the exam at Bitgoeul Jeonnam National University Hospital in Nam-gu.
