Five COVID-19 Cases Confirmed in Naju... Numbers 316 to 320

According to Naju city quarantine authorities on the day, a university student A (Naju No. 316), who had contact with Naju No. 297, a confirmed case at a religious facility in Seji-myeon, underwent a specimen test on the 16th and was confirmed positive the day before, then transferred to the KEPCO KPS Human Resources Development Institute.

A was under self-quarantine, and one family member living together tested negative.

The Nam-pyeong family is presumed to have been infected by the husband (Naju No. 317), who returned from a business trip to Seoul earlier this month and had contact with confirmed cases from other regions, according to epidemiological investigation.

The middle school child of No. 317 (Naju No. 318) tested positive on the 16th, and the spouse, a daycare teacher (Naju No. 319), tested positive the day before after specimen tests.

As a result of the full inspection by quarantine authorities, all teachers and children at the daycare where No. 319 works tested negative and will be under self-quarantine until the 26th.

One student (Naju No. 320) from the same school who had contact with No. 318 also tested positive for COVID-19 the day before.

Confirmed cases No. 317, 319, and 320 were transferred to the KEPCO KPS Human Resources Development Institute, and No. 318 was transferred to Mokpyo Medical Center.

A quarantine official said, “Since there are people with underlying diseases or mental and physical disabilities at the Seji religious facility, the possibility of additional infections is high,” and added, “We will do our best to prevent further spread through thorough quarantine management of the daycare and middle school related to the Nam-pyeong confirmed family.”
