Gwangju Buk-gu Council Opens Final Regular Session of 2021
Administrative Audit and Budget Review Conducted Over 32 Days
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] The Gwangju Buk-gu Council (Chairman Pyo Beomsik) announced on the 18th that it will open the 274th 2nd regular session on the 19th and begin 32 days of legislative activities.
This regular session is the last session of the year and plans to review 22 items including administrative audits of overall district administration, the 3rd supplementary budget for 2021, the 2022 budget, and ordinances.
Looking at the main schedule, the session will open on the 19th, and administrative audits will be conducted by standing committees until the 26th.
Then, from the 29th to the 3rd of next month, the 3rd supplementary budget for 2021 will be reviewed, and at the 2nd plenary session on the 6th, the administrative audit report will be adopted, and the Buk-gu mayor will deliver a policy speech regarding the submission of the 2022 budget.
Afterwards, from December 7th to 17th, the 2022 main budget and fund operation plan will be reviewed, along with the resolution of ordinances and general agenda items.
Finally, on December 20th, the 3rd plenary session will be held to handle general agenda items reviewed by each standing committee, finalize the 2022 main budget and fund operation plan, and conclude the regular session.
Chairman Pyo said, "This regular session is an important period to wrap up this year, including administrative audits, supplementary budget adjustments, and next year's budget review, and to plan for the next year." He added, "Through the administrative audit, we will conduct a thorough inspection and in-depth audit of the overall district administration, and carefully review next year's budget to ensure sufficient reflection of budgets aimed at recovering the livelihood economy and improving residents' quality of life in the With-Corona era."
