KOFIA Holds the 11th "Love Kimchi Fair" Event
[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] The Korea Financial Investment Association announced on the 17th that it held the 11th "Love Kimchi Fair" event in the association's front yard, jointly with the financial investment industry including securities firms, asset management companies, futures companies, trust companies, and related organizations.
A total of 63 financial investment companies and securities-related organizations, including the association, participated in sponsoring the Kimchi Fair, and a total of 39,000 kg of kimchi was delivered to the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation and about 120 welfare facilities sponsored by member companies. Due to COVID-19, the kimchi-making event where industry employees gather together could not be held this year as well, following last year.
The event was held simply with the participation of Najaecheol, the association chairman, vice-chairman companies, CEOs of related organizations, and industry representatives. The Love Kimchi Fair, which started in 2011 to support the winter needs of marginalized neighbors and is now in its 11th year, has become a representative social contribution event of the financial investment industry as the number of participating companies increases every year. At the event, Yoon Jaeok, chairman of the National Assembly’s Political Affairs Committee, and Kim Byungwook and Kim Heegon, the ruling and opposition party secretaries, visited to encourage the financial investment industry's love-sharing event.

Najaecheol, chairman of the Korea Financial Investment Association, said, “I hope the small sincerity of the industry will help our marginalized neighbors get through the winter.
