Gyeonggi-do to Hold 860Km 'Gyeonggi Dullegil' Opening Ceremony on the 17th at Gimpo Daemyeong Port
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province held an eco-friendly campaign called "Ploking" at Daemyeong Port on Course 1 in Gimpo on the 17th to commemorate the opening of the entire "Gyeonggi Dulle-gil" trail.
Ploking is an environmental campaign that involves picking up trash while walking.
Earlier, on the 15th, the province opened the "Gyeonggi Dulle-gil," a walking trail connecting 860 km around the outskirts of Gyeonggi Province.
Starting with this event, the province will hold opening ceremonies divided into four regions: on the 18th at Pocheon Course 15 (Sanjeong Lake), on the 25th at Ansan Course 51 (Daebudo Jonghyeon Village), and on the 26th at Yeoju Course 54 (Geumeunmorae Camping Site).
Kim Jin-gi, Director of the Culture, Tourism and Sports Bureau of the province, stated, "The Gyeonggi Dulle-gil, which connects 15 cities and counties around the outskirts of Gyeonggi Province, is expected to become a healing spot for metropolitan citizens and provide vitality to residents in this era of social distancing."
The Gyeonggi Dulle-gil is a circular trail with a total length of 860 km, consisting of 60 courses across four regions. After completing the trail, hikers can receive a completion certificate and souvenirs by stamping a total of 120 stamps?one each at the start and end points of each course.
