Korea Federation of SMEs to Hold Leaders Forum from 16th to 19th... Seeking Responses to 'V-nomics'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] The Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business (KSMB) announced on the 14th that it will hold the '2021 Small and Medium Business Leaders Forum' from the 16th to the 19th, a 3-night, 4-day event at the Gyeongju Hilton Hotel, with over 250 representatives from various industries and regions nationwide participating.
The theme of the forum is 'Small and Medium Enterprises in the V-nomics Era,' reflecting the intention to explore the survival and future vision of SMEs within the new paradigm changed and to be changed by COVID-19.
To ensure participant safety, the forum will be held with thorough COVID-19 prevention measures, including △all participants being fully vaccinated △establishment of a quarantine system △minimization of the number of participants.
The forum will begin with a keynote speech by Kwon Chil-seung, Minister of SMEs and Startups, followed by lectures and discussions on SME policy directions by opposition and ruling party leaders Song Young-gil and Lee Jun-seok, a lecture on Korea-China economic and trade cooperation by Xing Haiming, Chinese Ambassador to Korea, and special lectures by opinion leaders including In Yo-han, Director of Severance Hospital International Healthcare Center, novelist Kim Hong-shin, and Kim Jung-woo, Administrator of the Public Procurement Service.
Additionally, diverse programs will continue, such as cooking lectures to overcome COVID-19 by culinary researcher Lee Hye-jung, 'The Humanities of Money in the V-nomics Era' by Professor Hong Ik-hee, 'Secrets to Marital Happiness' by Professor Lee Ho-seon, and 'Healthy Diet to Overcome COVID-19' by Research Director Lee Kyung-hee.
